How are award recipients selected and notified?
- All completed ONLINE applications received by 5:00 p.m. PST on the deadline date will be reviewed by the Ruby Porter executive staff. Applications will be reviewed for completeness and clarity of the answers supplied. If there are any questions about responses supplied on an application, Ruby Porter will contact the applicant for clarification.
- On the Friday immediately following the application deadline, the top five (5) applicants will be announced on the Ruby Porter Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/RubyPorterMarketing).
- Once the top five applicants are announced, there will be a public voting period to determine the winner for that quarter. Votes will be counted as follows: Every "like" posted on the Ruby Porter Facebook page that is directly connected to an individual "top applicant" post will count as one vote. Voting will also be available on the Ruby Porter website. All votes collected between the initial "top applicants" Facebook announcement and 11:59 p.m. PST on the 25th of the month will be tallied. The applicant with the most number of votes between "likes" on the Ruby Porter Facebook page and votes on the Ruby Porter website will be deemed the winner upon verification of the voting results.
- On the last day of this same month, the applicant with the most confirmed votes will be notified by phone and/or email. If the applicant does not respond within three business days, they forfeit their win and the second place applicant will be awarded instead.
- In the case of a tie between applications, there will be a random drawing held by the staff at Ruby Porter where the names of the tied applicants will be put in a bag and one will be pulled out as the winner.
